Grievance Procedure Guidelines

When issues and concerns arise for you as a parent, regarding your child’s education, it is important to know that there is a process that you can follow to help resolve them.

You have a right to have your concerns heard and have them dealt with confidentially.

An understanding of areas of responsibility within the school will help you to know where to start.

School Governing Council

Oversees general school matters regarding:

  • Hall and grounds
  • Policy, planning and safety (eg, Dress Code, Solar policy, etc)
  • General direction of the school
  • Budgets and finances

Principal and Senior Leaders

The Principal and Senior Leaders are responsible for all areas of discipline and staff performance for Teachers and SSOs.

Curriculum issues and personal matters regarding your child need addressed by the class teacher in the first instance. If you are unable to resolve the issue, please contact the school to speak with a member of the leadership teams.

Please make appointments to discuss issues. We aim to keep our classrooms safe and secure places for all our students. The classroom is not the place for these discussions.

It is important for grievances and concerns to be raised as soon as possible as this will allow prompt attention and resolution of the problem.
